EOD IS-OP version 2.0 has been operational since spring 2000. It has seen action on as remote places
as Western Sahara, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Iraq and the Baltic coast. It has served well. It has supported its master and both have come home with no casualties and lots of stories to tell.
"No casualties" is probably the most im-
portant reason why the Swedish Armed
Forces' Supreme Commander decided to
further develop the system to version 3.0.
The systems main functionalities are:
- Integrated GIS (Geographical Information System)
- Sketches (High accuracy-)
- Reporting ("To the boss")
- Report tools (Handbooks)
- Ordnance database (with id-functionality and RSP) |
